Jordi Gutiérrez was born in 1959, in Barcelona.
He has a degree in Information Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In 1977 he began his professional career as a journalist specialising in political and institutional information, working in the print media, radio and television for different media:
El Noticiero Universal, Radio Nacional de España en Cataluña, Televisión Española en Cataluña, Cadena Catalana de Radio, Avui newspaper, and for seven years he was the Delegate for the Catalan regional television channel TV-3 in Madrid.
In 1993 he joined the Royal Household of His Majesty the King as Deputy Director of Media Relations, remaining in the post until December 2009.
Since 2010 he has been director of communication for CEIM, the employers and industries confederation of Madrid.
By Royal Decree 546/2014, of 25 June, he was appointed as Director of Communication of the General Secretariat of the Royal Household of His Majesty the King.
