The Princess of Girona Foundation

The Prince of Girona Foundation was constituted on 26 June 2009, following the initiative of the Girona Chamber of Commerce, the Caixa Girona savings bank, the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, and the La Caixa savings bank, which were joined by more than 60 other sponsors. Its main goal is to work for our country's youth in all those aspects that are critical to its future.
The Princess of Girona Foundation understands support for young people as a way of strengthening their capacity to build a better society, with greater solidarity, and pays particular attention to young people from underprivileged backgrounds. In this respect, it aims to become a global platform and a reference point for promoting progress and talent, thanks to different projects that give young people a leading role. Young people of different ages, and also from very diverse backgrounds: from the business, social, cultural, sports, academic and scientific worlds.
The Princess of Girona Foundation focuses on four major pillars: promotion of entrepreneurship, school success of the youngest, improved employment, and vocational promotion. As for promoting entrepreneurship, the IMPULSA Forum takes centre stage, and it is based on the conviction that entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation are three fundamental factors in generating opportunities for young people. The IMPULSA Awards, in turn, recognize entrepreneurial talent in all areas of knowledge.
