I would also like to recognise and appreciate the hard work by the Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro and the Asociación Española contra el Cancer for the hard work in organising this very important event for the world cancer research. All of us gathered here today share a strong commitment to promoting and advancing cancer research.
Our foremost goal is to ensure that the knowledge derived from this research truly and effectively reaches patients as quickly as possible. This year, you know, the focus is on innovation. Innovation is trying to make the knowledge transfer into reality to enhance equity in the access to treatments and, of course, to improve both the survival rates and, of course, the quality of life for patients.
So let us now listen to those who have the deepest insights and could bring the visibility to the invaluable effort of scientists and researchers.

En primer lugar, permítanme agradecer profundamente a la Fundazione, Istituto Fondazione di Oncologia Molecolare por recibirnos hoy y por darme la oportunidad de presenciar el extraordinario trabajo realizado aquí. Bueno, creo que fue crucial y tengo que volver.
También me gustaría reconocer y agradecer el arduo trabajo de la Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro y la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer por el arduo trabajo en la organización de este evento tan importante para la investigación mundial del cáncer.
Todos los reunidos hoy aquí compartimos un fuerte compromiso con la promoción y el avance de la investigación sobre el cáncer.
Nuestro principal objetivo es garantizar que el conocimiento derivado de esta investigación llegue verdadera y eficazmente a los pacientes lo más rápido posible. Este año, ya sabéis, la atención se centra en la innovación. La innovación es intentar hacer realidad la transferencia de conocimiento para mejorar la equidad en el acceso a los tratamientos y, por supuesto, mejorar tanto las tasas de supervivencia como, por supuesto, la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
Así que escuchemos ahora a aquellos que tienen los conocimientos más profundos y podrían dar visibilidad al inestimable esfuerzo de los científicos e investigadores.
